I have noticed some similarity's between the setting in the series 'Breaking Bad' and the setting that one of my chosen locations ' Napoleon's Casino'.
The similarities in this are the dull hazy hues in the colours that saturate the environment, I make a point of highlighting these similarities as the image of the set in 'Breaking Bad' and the images that i have taken of my location and its surroundings share similar stories that can be interpreted visually.
A storyline may follow this idea of sleaziness on the outskirts of a city, due to lack of attention/unpopularity and slow business resulting in areas becoming run down, businesses becoming relatively cheap to own and use for unjust purposes by unscrupulous people.
These are however only assumptions and suggestions that I receive when I read these scenes.
It seems on the outskirts of a city, whereby regeneration has been attempted that there is an uneven hodgepodge of industrial sites, offices, apartments, restaurants and run down businesses.
I may choose to revisit this location and capture this restaurant as a second location so that my drawings follow a theme, this will give me chance to explore deeply a certain aesthetic that I may want to carry through into my personal professional practice.
This will help me to develop a consistency not only in my drawing but in my own artistic voice as a designer/animator/artist.
