This animation has been used to accompany a podcast whereby Steven Merchant, Ricky Gervais, and Karl Pilkington discuss different subjects to comedic effect. The sound in this animation is crucial to its effectiveness as a piece of entertainment, aswell as illustrating some of the subjects being discussed by Karl, Ricky and Steven. Sometimes the animation is used to act as a visual aid to any scenarios that are being played out or discussed, it exaggerates these scenarios to make them more entertaining for the audience and perhaps inflame their imaginations.

The aesthetic of the animation is similar to the work of Hannah Barbera, the animator behind cartoons such as Wacky Races, Top Cat and The Flintstones. I think this aesthetic makes for easy viewing for the audience, with simple yet exaggerated movements that are incorporated into the animation.
The expressions of Ricky, Karl and Steven's animated characters really help to articulate to the audience what is going on in the studio.
The only criticism i can give is that the animation as a stand alone piece, separate from the sound, would not work very well to articulate a narrative - of course this is due to the sound being mainly dialogue.
